Vidyasage Labs ("Vidyasage Labs", "Velvuri", "we", "our", or "us") owns and operates the Velvuri Platform. This Honor Code describes what genuine participation in Velvuri's judgment scenarios and assessments looks like, why it matters, and what happens when it's compromised. This Honor Code forms part of, and should be read together with, Velvuri's Terms & Conditions, which govern acceptable use of the Platform more broadly.
Velvuri exists to evaluate a person's own judgment: how they reason through ambiguity, weigh competing priorities, and decide when there is no single obviously correct answer. Automated tools, including generative AI, may be excellent assistants in many parts of professional life. However, the purpose of a Velvuri scenario or assessment is specifically to understand a user's own reasoning process, at the moment they engage with it, not a reasoning process borrowed from somewhere else.
Accordingly, where a scenario or assessment is designed to evaluate independent judgment, users must not rely on unauthorized automated assistance or another person's input to generate their response, unless the Platform explicitly permits that kind of assistance for the specific activity in question. This principle does not depend on which specific technology exists at any given time. Whether the tool in question is today's generative AI, a future AI agent, or something not yet invented, the underlying question stays the same: is this genuinely the user's own judgment.
Because Velvuri evaluates judgment rather than a single correct answer, different students, and different reviewers, may reasonably reach different conclusions about the same scenario. That variation is expected, and does not by itself mean a response, an explanation, or a score is wrong.
A violation is any activity that circumvents or attempts to circumvent the purpose of a scenario, assessment, or other judgment exercise on the Platform, whether by breaching a specific rule set out below or by misrepresenting the authorship or conditions under which a response was actually produced. This is a functional definition rather than a fixed list: new methods of circumventing genuine engagement may emerge over time, and this Honor Code is intended to cover them even if not individually named.
Named categories of violation include, without limitation:
Unauthorized automated assistance. Using generative AI, large language models, AI agents, automated answer-generation tools, third-party solving services, or any other automated means to produce or substantially shape a response to a scenario or assessment, where the Platform has not expressly permitted that kind of assistance for the activity in question.
Plagiarism. Copying or reproducing another source's work without attribution, including having someone else alter or revise a response before submitting it as one's own. Content that has been paraphrased, translated, or otherwise modified using automated means still counts as plagiarism if it originates from an unauthorized source. Resubmitting a user's own prior work for a different assessment without disclosure is also a form of plagiarism.
Unauthorized collaboration. Working with any other person on a scenario or assessment intended to be completed individually, unless the Platform expressly permits collaboration for that activity.
Contract cheating. Paying, trading, or otherwise arranging for another person to complete a scenario or assessment on the user's behalf.
Impersonation. Completing a scenario or assessment while logged in as another user, allowing another user to complete one while logged in as oneself, or otherwise misrepresenting who actually produced a response.
Unauthorized sharing. Making scenario content, questions, correct answers, or one's own or another user's solutions available to anyone else outside the Platform, including through messaging groups, forums, or any other channel, unless the Platform expressly permits sharing for that specific activity.
Fraud. Misrepresenting the authorship or conditions under which a response was produced, or submitting false information in support of a claim, such as a request for a retake or an extension.
Other conduct. Any other behavior that confers an unfair advantage, or that dishonestly improves or worsens a result, may also constitute a violation even if not specifically named above.
Unless a specific scenario or assessment states otherwise, users may generally use ordinary accessibility and productivity tools that support, rather than substitute for, their own judgment, including grammar and spell-check tools, screen readers and other assistive technologies, and calculators where relevant to the activity. Where the Platform expressly permits a specific form of assistance for a given activity, that permission will be stated at the point the activity is presented.
Where Vidyasage Labs reasonably determines that a violation has occurred, it may take action proportionate to the nature and severity of the violation, the significance of the specific scenario or assessment involved, and the user's own history, including invalidating the affected response or score, suspending or terminating the user's account, and notifying an Institutional Customer where the user's access was sponsored by one. Vidyasage Labs will generally notify the user of the determination and the resulting action.
A refund will not be granted in connection with an account suspended or terminated for a violation of this Honor Code, as set out in the Refund Policy.
Users who become aware of conduct that may violate this Honor Code are encouraged to report it to HELLO@VELVURI.COM. Users should submit reports in good faith. Knowingly false, malicious, or abusive reports may themselves constitute a violation of the Terms & Conditions or this Honor Code.
Vidyasage Labs may amend this Honor Code from time to time, including as new methods of circumventing genuine engagement emerge. Amendments take effect upon publication, accompanied by an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Platform following publication of an amendment constitutes acceptance of the amended Honor Code.
This Honor Code is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Honor Code shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
