Is this a course or an assessment tool?

Neither. Velvuri is a judgment training platform built around deliberate practice, not lectures or assessments. Students practise on unfamiliar business scenarios, commit to a decision, and receive structured feedback explaining every option, including the ones that don't work.

How is this different from case study preparation?

Case studies usually analyse situations students have already learned about. Velvuri presents unfamiliar business situations where every option appears reasonable. Students make a decision first, then discover why one choice is stronger and why the others fall short. It builds judgment under uncertainty, not just analysis of something already explained.

Why is judgment trainable? Isn't it a natural ability?

Judgment improves through deliberate practice, just like interviewing, public speaking, or case solving. Students become better by repeatedly making decisions under uncertainty, receiving immediate feedback, and understanding the consequences of every option. That is exactly what Velvuri is designed to provide.

How quickly can a college be set up?

Founding institutions receive administrative access from 10 September 2026. Colleges can import students manually or through a bulk Excel upload, after which invitation emails are sent for students to complete registration. Students begin accessing and practising on the platform from 15 September 2026.

What actually changes for our institution?

Very little on the operational side. Rollout is flexible, from a single batch to the whole campus. There are no curriculum changes and no LMS integration or software deployment required. Students register with their institutional email and begin practising directly.

What is the Founding Institution Programme?

A limited cohort of institutions introducing year-long judgment training during our first academic year, working closely with us to refine the platform and shape new practice formats. It includes founding institution pricing and early access to new capabilities, and enrolment is open until September 15, 2026.

What does a faculty member have to do?

Very little. Students register and practise independently. Faculty do not need to teach sessions, modify the curriculum, prepare content, or grade submissions. Colleges receive a dashboard showing participation, practice consistency, and student progress.

Can we start with just one batch?

Yes. Most institutions begin with a single placement batch before expanding across programmes. There is no minimum rollout size. Start small, evaluate the impact, and expand when you are ready.

Which students is Velvuri designed for?

Velvuri is designed for students preparing for professional careers in product management, consulting, analytics, finance, operations, marketing, sales, business development, strategy, and other business functions where judgment matters. No prior work experience or domain expertise is required.

Can a student access the full library without a college subscription?

Not currently. Anyone can attempt the preview scenario without registering. Registration unlocks the complete analysis of that attempt, including the correct answer, the incorrect options, and the reasoning behind the decision. Full access to the complete scenario library is provided once your college joins Velvuri.

Does Velvuri guarantee placements?

No. Velvuri helps students build professional judgment and demonstrate sustained growth over time. Hiring decisions always remain with participating organizations.

How is this different from a placement portal or job board?

A job board is where anyone searches for open roles. Placement Support builds on the professional judgment students develop through consistent practice, connecting opportunities to demonstrated preparation rather than beginning with job listings.

What kinds of opportunities are involved?

Opportunities may include internships, live projects, graduate programmes, fellowships and full-time roles. Participating organizations decide how and when they engage with students.

When should students start practising for this to matter?

The earlier the better. Consistent participation throughout the academic year gives preparation time to compound, making a student's record of demonstrated growth more meaningful by the time opportunities come up.

What do participating organizations look for?

Organizations evaluate candidates using their own recruitment processes. Velvuri provides an additional view of demonstrated judgment, consistency and professional growth developed over time, not a replacement for their existing process.

Which colleges' students become visible to organizations?

What can organizations actually do through Velvuri?

Organizations gain another perspective on professional readiness: seeing how a candidate consistently thinks, adapts, and makes decisions over time, alongside résumés, interviews, and assessments. It's additional context, not a replacement for any of those.

Is this a recruiting platform?

No. Velvuri is designed to complement existing recruitment practices, not replace them. Organizations continue to evaluate candidates through their own process. Velvuri simply adds a view of demonstrated judgment that traditional recruitment steps don't usually capture.

How does pricing work?

Velvuri is licensed institution-wide. Every proposal is tailored based on student cohort size, rollout scope, academic calendar, and Founding Institution Programme availability. All proposals include institutional setup and calibration, annual student licenses, an institution dashboard, and implementation support.
