Vidyasage Labs ("Vidyasage Labs", "Velvuri", "we", "our", or "us") owns and operates the Velvuri Platform and related Services (collectively, the "Platform"), supporting educational institutions, organizations, employers, and other entities that sponsor, purchase, or administer Platform access ("Institutional Customers"), together with students, professionals, employees, recruiters, mentors, trainers, individual subscribers, and other authorized users, in professional development, opportunity discovery, and related capabilities.
This Privacy Policy ("Policy") explains how Vidyasage Labs collects, uses, shares, and safeguards personal data when a user accesses the Platform, whether via website, mobile application, institutional deployment, or related Services, and however those Services may evolve over time.
This Policy is intended to provide a broad description of Vidyasage Labs' data handling practices across the Platform and its related Services. Because the Platform continues to evolve, certain functionality described in this Policy may not be available to every user, subscription, institution, organization, or jurisdiction at all times. Nothing in this Policy limits or replaces any rights available to users under applicable law.
Use of the Platform is also governed by Velvuri's Terms & Conditions, Honor Code, and, where applicable, the Refund Policy. By using the Platform, the user agrees to the practices described in this Policy. If the user does not agree, the Platform must not be used.
This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising under or in connection with this Policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Where a student's access to the Platform is created or sponsored by an Institutional Customer, responsibility for that student's personal data is shared between Vidyasage Labs and the Institutional Customer, and shifts as the student's relationship with the Platform develops.
Before a student first activates their own account, for example, where an Institutional Customer supplies student information to Vidyasage Labs to set up access in advance, Vidyasage Labs generally handles that information on the Institutional Customer's behalf and in accordance with its instructions.
Once a student activates their own account, whether by logging in, setting credentials, or otherwise beginning to use the Platform directly, Vidyasage Labs and the Institutional Customer generally each remain responsible for the data they each actually use: Vidyasage Labs for operating and improving the Platform, and the Institutional Customer for its own administrative, academic, or placement-related purposes. From that point onward, the student's own subsequent activity, submissions, and account-level choices are primarily within the student's own control, subject to the usage summaries and reporting an Institutional Customer may receive as described in Section 13 (Institutional Customer Reporting).
This description explains, in plain terms, how responsibility for a student's data is generally allocated as the Platform evolves. Where a formal data processing or similar agreement exists between Vidyasage Labs and an Institutional Customer, that agreement governs to the extent it addresses these roles more specifically.
In this Policy, "Personal Data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable individual, as interpreted under applicable law. Vidyasage Labs seeks to collect only the information reasonably necessary to provide, secure, improve, and administer the Platform.
Vidyasage Labs may collect the following categories of information, depending on how a user accesses and uses the Platform:
Personal identifiers: name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and account credentials.
Institutional and professional details: institutional affiliation, role or designation, programmes undertaken, certifications, licences, employment history, resumes, portfolios, and related information voluntarily provided by users.
Platform activity and user-generated content: responses, submissions, uploads, documents, feedback, communications, profile information, and other content or data generated through use of the Platform.
Usage and behavioural data: activity logs, engagement patterns, feature preferences, and time spent on the Platform.
Payment information: billing details, where payments are processed directly by Vidyasage Labs or through authorised third-party payment service providers.
Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, and data collected via cookies or similar technologies.
Additional Service Information: opportunity or professional preferences, mobility-related information, and application materials, where and as such features are introduced.
Data may also be received from Institutional Customers that sponsor, purchase, or administer Platform access on behalf of their students, employees, or members, limited to information necessary to administer that sponsored or organizational access.
This list describes categories of information that may be collected across current and future Platform functionality. Not all categories apply to every user or every stage of the Platform's development.
Personal data may be used to:
We process personal information because:
Velvuri provides educational, assessment, and professional development content on the Platform. Portions of this content may be generated, assisted, reviewed, analysed, or enhanced using automated technologies, including artificial intelligence or similar systems, together with human oversight and editorial review where appropriate. Content on the Platform is not represented as entirely generated by automated technologies or entirely human-authored.
Insights generated using automated technologies are intended to support, not replace, independent judgment or professional decision-making. Where automated processing materially influences Platform functionality, appropriate human oversight may be applied where reasonably appropriate.
Vidyasage Labs does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, currency, or error-free nature of any content on the Platform. While Vidyasage Labs exercises reasonable care in developing and maintaining Platform Content, no representation or warranty is made that all content will always be complete, accurate, current, or free from error. Professional and industry knowledge evolves, and requirements may vary by jurisdiction, institution, or employer. All Platform content is provided for informational and preparatory purposes only and does not constitute professional, legal, or certification advice.
The Platform is intended to supplement, and not replace, formal education, classroom instruction, institutional curricula, professional training, academic materials, or independent learning.
Despite reasonable efforts, content, recommendations, or technical systems on the Platform may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or errors. Users are encouraged to report such issues to HELLO@VELVURI.COM, after which they may be reviewed and addressed as appropriate. This does not create any obligation to correct an issue within a specific timeframe or guarantee any particular outcome.
Scores, progress indicators, and performance insights generated by the Platform are indicative and intended for self-evaluation and learning purposes only. They may not reflect real-world examination results, workplace performance, or employer evaluation standards, and must not be treated as definitive measures of ability or qualification.
Reasonable professionals, educators, or subject-matter experts may occasionally reach different conclusions or prioritize different approaches when evaluating complex scenarios. Differences in judgment do not necessarily indicate that a scenario, explanation, or evaluation is incorrect.
Responses, written answers, decision explanations, uploads, resumes, portfolios, profile information, messages, feedback, communications, and other content or documents submitted through the Platform (collectively, "User Submissions") may be stored to provide Platform Services, generate progress reports, improve Platform quality, and support future opportunity-related visibility where a user chooses to participate. User Submissions may be retained, aggregated, or de-identified as described in Section 14 (Data Retention).
User Submissions may be stored, processed, analysed, indexed, and displayed for the purpose of providing Platform Services. This Section does not constitute an assignment or transfer of any intellectual property rights a user may hold in their own User Submissions; it describes the limited storage, processing, and display activity necessary to operate the Platform.
The Platform may collect, generate, display, or analyse information relating to learning activity, assessments, progress, participation, achievements, rankings, certifications, performance trends, engagement metrics, and similar information, as Platform functionality evolves. Not every category described here reflects a feature available at every stage of the Platform's development.
Where supported, users may choose to make portions of their profile visible to other Platform users or Institutional Customers, or publicly visible, according to Platform functionality and their own privacy settings.
Vidyasage Labs may, currently or in the future, offer tools and services supporting professional development, opportunity discovery, and connections with Institutional Customers or other authorized users. Vidyasage Labs does not guarantee offers, interview success, placement outcomes, or any particular professional result. Employer participation, job postings, hiring opportunities, and recruitment activity depend upon independent decisions made by participating organizations and market conditions, both of which are outside Vidyasage Labs' control. Where such features are introduced or expanded, additional data collection may occur, and appropriate notice will be provided at that time.
Information about a user is generally shared with an organization or employer only where the user has taken an affirmative step to make that information available, such as opting into a visible profile or actively applying to or engaging with a specific opportunity, rather than automatically. Where supported by Platform functionality, subscriptions, and applicable settings, selected profile information, assessment history, achievements, or resumes may then be shared or made available in accordance with the user's privacy settings, applicable permissions, and opportunity-related preferences.
Vidyasage Labs does not sell personal data.
Personal data may be shared in the following circumstances:
Institutional Customers may receive reports, analytics, summaries, performance insights, or other information supported by the Platform, depending on the subscription, permissions, or arrangement in place, as Platform functionality evolves.
Personal data may be retained as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, prevent fraud, support Institutional Customer reporting, enforce agreements, improve the Platform, and satisfy legitimate business purposes.
Following account closure or expiry of an applicable service arrangement, information may be deleted, anonymised, aggregated, or otherwise retained where legally or operationally appropriate.
Users may request deletion of their account by contacting Vidyasage Labs at the address in Section 27. Upon a verified request, account information will be removed from active use, subject to the following: certain information may be retained where necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements, and assessment or usage statistics may be retained in anonymised or aggregated form for Platform improvement purposes.
For institution- or organization-sponsored accounts, certain deletion requests may require coordination with the sponsoring Institutional Customer before they can be processed.
Vidyasage Labs implements reasonable technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect personal data. However, no system is entirely secure, and Vidyasage Labs cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorised access, disclosure, or loss. Transmission of data over the internet is undertaken at the user's own risk.
Vidyasage Labs aims to provide a reliable Platform, but technical issues, interruptions, or errors may occur despite reasonable efforts. Vidyasage Labs monitors the Platform and addresses issues as part of its ongoing improvement process. The occurrence of technical issues does not give rise to liability on Vidyasage Labs' part save as expressly provided in the Terms and Conditions.
Subject to applicable law and legitimate business requirements, users may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data by contacting Vidyasage Labs at the address in Section 27. Users may also manage cookie preferences through browser or account settings.
For institution- or organization-sponsored accounts, certain requests may require coordination with the relevant sponsoring Institutional Customer before they can be processed.
Vidyasage Labs may send transactional communications, including account verification, service notifications, and support responses, which are necessary for the operation of the Platform and cannot be opted out of while an account remains active.
Vidyasage Labs may also send promotional or marketing communications where applicable. Users may opt out of promotional communications at any time through account settings or by using the unsubscribe mechanism provided in such communications, without affecting receipt of essential service-related communications.
The Platform may use cookies, analytics technologies, performance monitoring tools, security technologies, and similar technologies to operate, improve, secure, and personalise the Platform as its functionality evolves, including, among other purposes, to support login sessions, language or display preferences, usage analytics, and fraud or security monitoring.
Users may manage cookie settings through their browser or account preferences. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of Platform features. Vidyasage Labs does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
The Platform may link to or integrate with third-party tools and services. Those providers operate under their own privacy policies, which Vidyasage Labs encourages users to review. Vidyasage Labs is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party services.
Although the Platform currently operates primarily in India, the Services are intended to expand internationally over time. As Vidyasage Labs develops international offerings, personal data may be transferred to or processed in jurisdictions other than the user's country of residence, where permitted by applicable law and subject to appropriate safeguards consistent with that law.
The Platform is intended primarily for users who are at least the age required to lawfully consent to the processing of their own personal data under the law of their jurisdiction. Independent registrations require users to confirm they meet this requirement. In any event, Vidyasage Labs does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 13, which is the absolute minimum age for any use of the Platform.
Institution-sponsored access may include eligible users below the age of 18, but not below the absolute minimum age stated above, where permitted by applicable law and supported by appropriate institutional or parental consent.
Users are solely responsible for how they interpret and act upon content, assessment results, or recommendations obtained through the Platform. Vidyasage Labs does not guarantee outcomes, including examination success, employment placement, or career advancement.
As Vidyasage Labs expands Velvuri's capabilities, this Policy will continue to apply. Users will be notified of material changes to data practices when significant new capabilities are introduced.
Vidyasage Labs reserves the right to amend this Policy from time to time. Amendments will take effect upon publication on this page, accompanied by an updated "Last Updated" date. Where changes are material, Vidyasage Labs will notify users via the Platform or by email. Continued use of the Platform following publication of an amendment constitutes acceptance of the amended Policy.
